We are constantly looking to assist schools in the delivery of Expressive Arts.  Additionally, schools in Wales need to address the subject of Cynefin (sense of place / habitat).  We have many exciting workshop days with Huw (Clogs) Williams that are based around periods in history or Welsh traditions.

Wales has a rich and thrilling history that has borne a broad range of local and national traditions and our aim is to embed the ‘cynefin’ through the ancient folk culture of music, dance and storytelling.

The Mari Lwyd is a unique ancient Welsh tradition. A midwinter ritual with the horse at its centre taps into a particular vein of folk custom. There are songs associated with this tradition, and a ‘pwnco’ verse contest. There are many variants of the Mari Lwyd tradition across Wales but local distinction is a fine thing and we want to inspire your teachers and learners to find your local traditions, stories or legends and breathe new life into them for future generations. Contact us for workshop bookings including the Cadi Ha spring/summer tradition featuring costumes for all class members.

Please see the video below for Mari Lwyd footage.
